Kevin Mulcaire has added to his considerable tally of gold medals this year with a great win at the 3000m SIAB schools track and field in Cardiff.

A team of over 80 Irish schools athletes will travel to Cardiff on the 19th of July for the SIAB schools international event. They will be competing in a 21-event programme and against top schools athletes from England, Wales and Scotland. All of the athletes are in the intermediate category which is U17. The athletes were chosen by their performances in the Tailteann Games and from their previous school event performances.
Two Ennis Track athletes will line up for Ireland on Saturday: Kevin Mulcaire runs in the 3000m, while Sean Collins will contest the 1500m steeplechase. Best of luck to both.
